The requirements of the commercial sector often dictate that we operate in a functioning retail or office environment with inherent concerns for the wellbeing of non-construction staff and customers whilst reducing the financial impact of any works.
We have completed several re-developments for major retail clients successfully balancing their operational needs against the requirements of the construction. These include the Pipps Hill Retail Park, Basildon and the Tottenham Hale Retail Park. Elsewhere, new build projects such as 377 Kilburn High Road combined commercial and residential accommodation and attracted a major high street retailer. Our experience also extends to the refurbishment of multi-storey office blocks and retail units, such as the London Borough of Enfield’s Charles Babbage House and the Harlow Shopping Centre.
Our leisure experience includes a high specification spa facility at Fulwell Cross Leisure Centre with a sauna, hot rooms, a multi-function plunge pool, changing rooms and reception areas. This is complimented by sports halls and fitness studios at both Shaftesbury and Highams Park Schools. The second of these met “Sport England” specifications with low impact fittings, specialist flooring, sound reducing walls and has a cycle track planned. Our heritage and ecclesiastical projects include the new Manor Park Methodist Church and Morden College.
With the current emphasis in sporting activities and facilities, one of our highest profile commercial projects was the installation of a viewing gallery on the roof of Holden Point, Stratford from which the media and visiting dignitaries have observed the development of 2012 Olympic Games site.
We have experience working up to 22 storeys and with floor areas up to 4000m². Construction technologies have included steel and concrete frames, with major skillsets including elevator installation, mechanical and electrical services.
