Richard came to Kind & Company in 2017 after a period which saw him complete an honours degree in Economics and a Masters in Finance. The world of finance, however, failed to inspire him sufficiently so, building on the experience of school holiday labouring jobs, Richard switched careers and trained to be a carpenter before proceeding into site and ultimately project management.
Inspired by the challenge that construction brings, Richard enjoys finding solutions, pulling together a complex project and making it work. He believes the industry is a constant source of interesting and varied stimuli that is both dynamic and practical where the physical resultant product can impact on the lives and wellbeing of end-users. With experience of high-value, high-quality projects, and knowledge gained from across the many delivery team roles he's undertaken, Richard is a valuable member of the Kind & Company team.
With a desire and ability to constantly learn, Richard is enthusiastic about keeping up to date with the latest technologies in building and construction and keeping abreast of innovation. To this end, he is currently undertaking a dissertation on MMC and the role that BIM can play in developing the industry.
Away from work, Richard enjoys CrossFit activities and has undertaken several charity fundraising events utilising this. He has just become a father for the first time.
