Construction Playbook
Published 15 February 2021
As Einstein once said “Without changing our pattern of thought, we will not be able to solve the problems we created with our current patterns of thought…’ - in the spirit of Einstein, we are pleased to see the thought process into public procurement is being challenged for the better as David Mosey (Kings College), takes the lead to review public sector construction frameworks as part of the implementation of the Construction Playbook.
The Construction Playbook will review public sector frameworks to develop a new gold standard which will enable ‘faster, better, greener’ and more effective construction by reviewing our current thoughts on how construction should be assessed and procured.
We are particularly encouraged by one of these policies which focuses on ‘effective contracting’, promising to review how contracts are structured to support an ‘improved exchange of data, collaboration, value and risk management’.
Let’s change our pattern of thought to move forward!
