Kind & Company, through its London Construction Programme (LCP) consortium vehicle, KDC, is pleased to announce it has been contracted to deliver three significant housing projects to the London Borough of Sutton with a combined value of £20M+. The sites all utilise land that no longer performs its original purpose and would benefit from regeneration. These are located at Alcester Road, Wallington; Richmond Green, Beddington and Fellows Road, Carshalton.

On completion, there will be a total of 93 homes. These comprise of two and three bedroom houses and one, two and three bedroom flats. The largest of the three projects is on the current Ludlow Lodge site which will ultimately hold fifty-seven flats in five blocks. Completion of all three projects is expected during 2018-2019.

Joint Managing Director of Kind & Company, Tony Battle said, “This is good news for the company and the borough. Collectively, this contract is the largest we have undertaken in our seventy year history although the nature and value of each site falls well within our experience”.

The London Borough of Sutton stated, "Sutton Council is delighted to be building much needed affordable council homes for local people across the borough. We are pleased to be working together with Kind & Company who have a wealth of experience.”

Details of the developments are as follows:

Ludlow Lodge, Alcester Road, Wallington comprises of a mix of one, two and three bedroom flats. Built upon a concrete frame structure, the flats are arranged in five blocks with a centralised CHP heating and will be surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Richmond Green, Beddington comprises 12 two-bedroom houses, two of which are wheelchair accessible, plus 9 three-bedroom houses. The new properties face on to the River Wandle and established green space. They will be of traditional construction and include solar PV panels.

Century House, Fellowes Road, Carshalton comprises 11 two-bedroom houses, two of which are wheelchair accessible plus 4 three-bedroom houses. These will be timber frame construction and include solar PV panels.

All three sites require demolition, clearance and enabling works prior to construction.

Acceptance on to the LCP framework recognises the service Kind & Company has delivered to its clients over many years. This contract with the London Borough of Sutton is a reward for the initiative, skills and experience being shown daily across our sites and should strengthen our position going forward.
