Lexden Gardens (Former Essex County Hospital)

We are well underway on site at Lexden Gardens (the former Essex County Hospital), progressing with Phase 1 of this redevelopment to the redundant hospital site. The first phase will bring 63 new quality homes to the development. 
 
In order to achieve this, we will be: 
 
- Conducting a sympathetic refurbishment and conversion to the Grade II listed main hospital block, with some key restoration work to features (such as the ornate period staircase within the building). 

- Retaining the façade of the existing street facing block whilst building new apartments on this portion of the site. 

- Building a new residential block to the front right-hand side of the site. 

- Undertaking significant infrastructure and landscaping works. 

This project is due to complete in 2026…so we look forward to bringing plenty more updates soon as we progress ahead!
