Tony Battle's Retirement

Last week we were delighted to host a farewell reception for our Joint Managing Director Tony Battle, who is due to retire on the 30th June after 34 dedicated years’ of service with the business.

This celebration took place at the fantastic Trinity House, a grand location overlooking the Thames and the iconic Tower of London. We were delighted to share the celebrations with many of our valued clients and construction colleagues across the industry...and the sunshine topped off the evening just nicely.

During the evening Tony gave thanks to everyone for all their continued support of Kind & Company and he recognised and thanked all 110 employees who continue to deliver quality projects, with integrity and in the usual collaborative and proactive manor that everyone comes to expect when they work with Kind.

Bill Bassenger (Joint MD along with Tony) also said a few words thanking Tony for his service and all the ‘good times’ had during their joint tenure. Bill confirmed his move into the position of CEO as of the 1st July and promptly after this we heard from our Operations Director Steve Juson, who is looking forward to moving into the position of Managing Director once Tony departs from the business at the end of the month.  Steve joined Kind & Company as a trainee surveyor 36 years ago; he commented that he is very much looking forward to undertaking the role as Managing Director, supported by our experienced and talented senior management team from Pre-Construction through to our operational delivery team. ‘It’s business as usual and I look forward to engaging with many of you going forward to continue to deliver quality projects for our clients’.
